Team Zero-G
Formation of the Team
Team Zero-G was formed in April, 2002. It was conceived for serious students of Taekwondo who want to develop the competitive edge and take their skills to the next level.
Motivation and Purpose
The primary purpose of the Team is to provide advanced training for students who aspire to compete successfully in local, state and national level competitions. In addition, the Team will hold demonstrations locally, and as called upon, to promote the martial art and sport of Taekwondo.
Who May Participate
- TKDW Members:
- age restriction at Instructor's discretion, enrolled in the traditional program may practice on Fridays, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. class without additional fees. They may join TEAM Zero-G for a nominal fee (currently $10.00/mo - 3 month minimum).
- Non-members:
- age 12 and older, who have achieved significant rank in a bonifide Martial Arts school, may, at the sole discretion of the Chief Instructor, become members of the Sparring Program for a fee of $50.00/mo. - 3 month minimum.
Probation
Upon joining the program, each new member will be on a three month probation. At the conclusion of the probation period, based on coaches' discretion and evaluation of his/her attitude, commitment and dedication, he/she may be allowed to continue in the program.

Uniform
Full Uniform is not required. DoBok pants recommended. White T-Shirt, either plain or with Taekwondo relevant slogans only. (Shirts judged inappropriate by the instructor will be disallowed.) Shirts should be tucked into pants. Rank Belts should be worn.

Required safety equipment includes
- Forearm pads (white)
- Shin/Instep pads (white)
- Helmet
- Chest Protector
- Athletic Cup (males only)

Mr. Rhinehart recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Wright State University with a B.S. in International Business. Mr. Rhinehart was a member of the 1998 Air Force Taekwondo Team and has trained alongside numerous Olympians and Champions to include:
- Master Juan Moreno, 3 Time Olympic Taekwondo Team Member and 2 time Silver Olympic medalist
- Master Luong Pham, 1988 US Olympic Taekwondo Team Member
- Mr. Bobby Leach, 2 time National Taekwondo Team Member
- Mr. Aaron Morris, 2001 National Taekwondo B Team Member and 2000 AAU National Taekwondo Team Member
- Mr. Ireno Fargas the former Spanish National Taekwondo Team Coach.
Mr. Rhinehart is also co-owner of Extreme Sports Equipment, ESE, along with Mr. Aaron Morris. Together they manufacture Taekwondo equipment and apparel for the extreme Taekwondo enthusiast. Upon retiring from Tang Soo Do and the World Tang Soo Do Association Mr. Rhinehart remained undefeated in his division.
Expectations
- Consistent attendance at conditioning and sparring times as described in the Training Schedule
- recruit and mentor new members
- mandatory participation in at least one local and one state level tournament each calendar year. Members may attend these tournaments as participants, coaches, or to support other team member.
Tournaments
There are a variety of tournament experiences available.
- Taekwondo World will host at least one, sometimes two Tournaments each year - early Spring and late Fall
- Selected Tournaments conducted by other Master Instructors who participate in the olympic style circuit in the Dayton, Cincinnati, Columbus, Akron/Canton, and Indianapolis areas
- USTU State and National Games
- AAU State and National Games
- National and International Games for those who qualify
Guests
We welcome guests to try a class FREE of charge. Guest must complete our brief registration form before entering. Please note that all drills and sparring practice is governed by the rules and standards of Olympic Taekwondo as defined by the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) and the United States Taekwondo Union (USTU). There will be no allowance for open style sparring of any kind.
